Stephanie Seeney

Musical Director

Stephanie Seeney is Head of Singing for the Bromley Youth Music Trust, looking after the borough’s singers, singing teachers and choirs. She conducts several of the youth choirs as well as the adult community choir and school choirs. Stephanie studied with BYMT whilst at school, herself singing in the choirs that she now conducts, as well as the National Youth Choir. She then went on to complete undergraduate and post graduate studies at music college, before embarking on a career as a classical mezzo soprano. She spent many years singing with professional groups such as the BBC Singers, Academy of Ancient Music and London Voices, broadcasting on Radio 3 and recording film soundtracks, and sang in some of the most famous concert halls around the world.

BYMT is proud to have choirs available to every student in the Borough who loves to sing from Year 1 up to Year 13, with Young Music Makers for the younger children. We believe that it is important for children to sing a wide range of songs covering many different genres, and singing in a choir can help all musicians with aural training and general musicianship.
