Important notice re COVID-19:

Until further notice Covid-19 Precautions and Restrictions could apply to our events.

Please be aware that these precautions and restrictions could be applied or changed at short notice if the government or Church of England introduce new regulations or restrictions.

Ordinarily St George’s is subject, by law, to a Maximum Attendance Limit of 499 people for any entertainment event. Until further notice during Covid we are limiting ticket sales to a maximum of 360 for any one event.

Please note any interaction with the general public poses an elevated risk of being exposed to COVID and we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to the disease while attending any of our recitals, concerts or other Arts events although we put in place various Covid-19 precautions from time to time which we believe to be appropriate and proportionate to try to reduce that risk.

For the protection of all audience members, artistes, sound engineers and our Arts Team we strongly recommend that audience members without any medical exemption should wear masks at our events except when consuming refreshment.

We ask all audience members to act responsibly in protecting others attending our events and that any people who have exhibited or suffered cold, flu or Covid-like symptoms or tested positive for Covid in the 8 days preceding their event(s) should not attend unless they have tested negative by Lateral Flow Tests on at least the two consecutive days immediately preceding the event date(s).

Covid-19 could cause events to be cancelled at very short notice. In that hopefully unlikely eventuality full refunds will be available for tickets purchased where we cancel the event(s).

We regret that we are unable to offer refunds to any ticket holder who is unable to attend an event or events as a result of showing any cold, flu or Covid-like symptoms or testing positive for Covid unless for any reason their event(s) is cancelled by The Arts at St George’s, the event artistes or as a result of government regulation.

  • The Arts at St George’s reserves the right to introduce or apply Social Distancing Policy(s) (subject to Government and Church of England Regulations) to its events without notice
  • Entry and exit could be via a one way system
  • Hands may be sanitised on entry & exit
  • As far as possible contact details provided during on-line ticket purchase will be used to satisfy ‘Track and Trace’ requirements should any be in force at the time of the performance.

Seats will be allocated to all on a first come first served basis so as to maximise seating capacity while complying with any social distancing rules in force from time to time.

When booking tickets for ticketed events please only book tickets for your household as tickets bought together will be seated together. A pew can accommodate a maximum of 6 people from one household.

Toilet facilities at St George’s are unfortunately very limited and for events taking place during Covid will only be made available to the disabled, infirm and staff. Toilets will be available nearby off site during intervals.

We ask you to:-

1).  Leave the church directly after all events remaining seated until directed to leave by the stewards.

2).  Ensure that you take all your property with you when you leave and

3).  Take any programmes away with you for safe disposal.

The Arts at St George’s and St George’s Parochial Church Council encourage you to follow its and any organiser’s safety policies, as well as local laws and restrictions.

Until further notice tickets may only be bought on-line. This is to eliminate the risk of Covid transmission from face to face cash transacations. This policy is under review but stands at 19.03.22
