Biography

Louise graduated from the Royal College of Music in 2004, where she studied viola with Ian Jewel, and subsequently undertook further studies with Garfield Jackson and Roger Chase.

She is Principal Viola of the Belmont Ensemble of London and the Alina Orchestra, and performs regularly with St George’s Chamber Orchestra. Louise has also worked extensively as an orchestral musician with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the BBC Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Her performances include concerts  at the Royal Festival Hall, Cadogan Hall, and the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall, as well as numerous international tours.

Alongside her orchestral career, Louise is an experienced session musician and has contributed to a wide range of film and television soundtracks, including Downton Abbey: A New Era, The Flash, The Million Pound Question, and Enola Holmes 2. Her West End work includes performances in The Phantom of the Opera, Les Misérables, and Sweeney Todd.

In addition to her performance work Louise teaches at Charterhouse School. She is also actively involved in community music-making, working with people living with dementia in her local care home, where she regularly gives concerts and leads singing sessions for residents.
