Foreword 2017

Rector Jeremy Blunden writes……..

It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Arts at St George’s 2017.  This fantastic project has now been running for 25 years.

This year we are pleased to offer a range of artists and performers from international to very local, with music ranging from classical to jazz and folk to rock.  The summer Arts Festival is certainly the highlight in the Arts calendar, however, St George’s supports the Arts year round with recitals, concerts and performances featuring St George’s Chamber Orchestra, St George’s Players and Beckenham Chorale.  We also have our own outstanding Church Choir which graces our Sunday worship each week.

If you wish to support the Arts at St George’s I invite you to consider becoming a Friend – you will find further details on the Friends page of this site.

My grateful thanks are given to Richard Fielder (Festival Director), Ken Maliphant (Programming Director), (Nick Startup Finance Director), Jim Hardy (Production Manager) and Mary Davies (Parish Administrator) and our wider Arts Team for their unceasing hard work in bringing the Arts to Beckenham.  Here’s to the next 25 years!

Rev Fr Jeremy Blunden
