An alumna of BYMT, Helen Eastwood spent her formative years as a member of BYMT’s musical theatre group playing principal roles including Nancy in Oliver! and Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. Helen recently received a first class honours degree in Music from the University of York where she studied with Alex Ashworth and also as a member of Robert Hollingworth’s choir “The 24”. She is a current member of the Genesis Sixteen training scheme for early career singers, and as a member of John Eliot Gardiner’s Springhead Constellation Choir, has toured to Zürich, South Korea and Hong Kong in recent months. Helen has combined her singing with studying for a PGCE at the University of Cambridge this past year, and singing as the Hadfield Rawlinson scholar at Jesus College, and is looking forward to returning to her alma mater, Langley School for Boys, as a music teacher in September.
