Opus Sax

Saxophone Quartet

Biography

Opus Sax is a vibrant young quartet born from Trinity Laban Conservatoire’s saxophone department.

The group pride themselves on their versatility, playing in styles ranging from the French Classical tradition to Latin, Jazz, and Folk.

The group consists of Lily Skinner on soprano, Jake Phillips on alto, Amadea Topalli on tenor, and Louis Suc on baritone. They have received extensive chamber coaching from saxophone professor and woodwind doubler Melanie Henry, as well as Gerard McChrystal, Mick Foster, and RCM Professor Kyle Horch. On top of their formal recitals in local venues such as the ORNC Chapel, the Queen’s House, Greenwich, and the glorious St. James’ Church in Paddington, Opus Sax boasts a substantial commercial outlook, having played at numerous local festivals and private events, and even entertained patients at the Royal London Hospital.
